What is Overseeding?
By ProMatcher Staff
Overseeding is when you spread grass seeds over an existing lawn, meadow, or garden to help encourage new growth.
Technically, “overseeding” is planting a different kind of seed on top of an existing plant (for instance, overseeding Kentucky Bluegrass with ryegrass or overseeding a grassy meadow with wildflowers).
However, the term has developed a more generic definition "spreading any kind of seed (same or different) over a lawn, meadow, or garden."
If you would like help overseeding your lawn, we can help match you to a local professional from whom you can get a free cost estimate.
